The Half Marathon, starting and finishing in the Gristmill Plaza in Concord, will be the longest running road race in Lake County.  This race will benefit the Lake Parks Foundation, specifically the Trails and Recreation Projects.  The Foundation has provided invaluable support to the citizens of Lake County in nourishing one of Lake County’s finest assets: its park system. The Lake Parks Foundation provides special projects and programs at the parks, such as scholarships for children, exemplary hands-on exhibits, and state-of-the-art facilities.
       

The Concord Distance Classic race will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 8:00am. We are hoping this event will grow into a popular Concord annual tradition drawing area runners and walkers into competition and enjoyment of community.
